"Mommy yells something behind them. Tepp can't make it out because it is a string of words that she has never heard Mommy say before. They are unfamiliar words, and she is using the voice she uses when she is frightened. At the same time though, Tepp has visions of being yelled at for not cleaning her room, like Mommy is also very angry. The yelling stops, and is followed by a terrifying sound. wow honor It reminds Tepp of the time Wheaty their horse got his leg stuck in a hole. He whinnied so loud and shrill that it scared Tepp and she could not stop shaking or crying for a day or two. Daddy explained that Wheaty was badly hurt, and that he'd taken him to the horse hospital to recover and to live a fun filled life with as many sugar cubes as he wanted. This sound is like that sound, but different. It ends suddenly, and Tepp doesn't have time to wonder because Danny has stopped to scoop her up. He is fifteen or so, and his arms are easily big enough to hold her. His legs pound down the game trail they both know by heart. He stops in front of the river where they fish sometimes. wow profession levelingThey are not supposed to fish here. It opens up into the sea further down, and there is a waterfall. They are told to follow the river because the guards frequent it enough that they can help if Mountain Lions ever come. They are not supposed to come up this far though, not by themselves they might get - STOP! Tepp looks over her brother's arms, which have begun to tremble. A figure has stopped their flight. She looks up into his eyes...""TEPP!""...... and she sees...she sees...
